Collect and review detailed client documentation, including identification records, financial statements, and legal agreements.
Verify the authenticity of provided information and identify any discrepancies or potential risks.
Assess the source of funds and wealth of clients to ensure compliance with wealth management regulations.
Conduct enhanced due diligence for politically exposed persons (PEPs) and high-risk clients.
Risk Assessment and Compliance:
Evaluate and analyze client profiles to identify potential money laundering, fraud, or suspicious activities.
Conduct risk assessments and rating of clients based on predetermined criteria and risk thresholds.
Stay up-to-date with global regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends related to KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal guidelines.
Collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management teams to address any identified risks promptly.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring proper documentation of KYC activities.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports, such as suspicious activity reports (SARs), as required by regulatory authorities.
Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence.
