DESIGNATION : L2 Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure new Cisco networks by provisioning routers, switches, and other networking devices
• Develop and maintain network documentation
• Diagnose network problems, investigate root cause, and deliver solutions within specified SLAs
• Maintain security policies according to industry best practices
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity problems and WLAN configurations
• Responsible for timely execution of security compliance patching for network devices
• Ensure timely execution of operational service tickets
• Uplift operational run book for end user\xe2\x80\x99s environment and its Command Centre

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree, Diploma or Nitec in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Practical knowledge & hands-on experiences in implementing network architecture and components including switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, VPNs and security gateways
• Strong implementation knowledge of the following protocols: OSPF, BGP, IPSec, GRE and STP
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, BIND, wan accelerator, server load balancing is preferred
• Experience in monitoring, tuning and scripting languages is a plus
• Proven ability to operate under pressure and meet challenging deadlines with minimum supervision
• Willingness and demonstrate capability to learn, assimilate, and act upon large amounts of information rapidly
• Positive attitude towards continuous learning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
