Duties & Responsibilities

Provide production BAU support for Open Systems applications, including after-office hours on a rotational basis Handle primary application support: issue tracking, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution Work closely with Application Development teams to resolve issues efficiently Support phone-in requests during designated support hours, including rotational Data Centre support Perform first- and second-level investigations and route tickets to the appropriate teams Monitor, track, and escalate helpdesk tickets to ensure timely resolution Gather and analyze metrics for trend reporting and capacity planning Collaborate with technical and business users to define requirements from a technical standpoint Conduct weekly statistical and operational trend analysis Support enhancement deployments, compliance tasks (e.g., key renewal), and infrastructure upgrades Assist with ad-hoc tasks such as monitoring key merchant promotions
Experience & Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years' experience in a production support environment

Strong exposure to Java - J2EE platform

Java Technologies: J2EE (Servlets, JSP, JavaBeans), JS2E (JFC/Swing, SWT), JDBC, JavaMail, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Jasper Reports, JOOReports, Java Comm API, JMS, EJB

IDEs: Open JDK1.8, Eclipse, Visual Age for Java, NetBeans, JBuilder

Application Servers: JBOSS EAP 7.x, Jakarta Tomcat, JBOSS 2.4.37, Blazix

Others: MS Office, Open Office, ELK, Zabbix, Bash scripting

Database: Oracle 19c, MySQL 5.7x with strong SQL skills for data extraction, statistics, and ad-hoc queries

Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
