Purpose & Scope
This role is responsible for the operational and availability of the laboratory to conduct water / non-water (organic) sample analysis. The role will also be required to develop, review, and maintain laboratory resources to ensure compliance to accreditation standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Management of laboratory quality system to comply to accreditation standards (ISO17025, ISO14001, ISO45001, and Singapore Standards, SS).
Lead the laboratory preparation for internal & external audits, SAC SINGLAS audit, and proficiency testing programme (PTP), etc.
Conduct method development & validation for new / modified analysis to ensure conformity to quality system requirements \xe2\x80\x93 method suitability, measurement uncertainty (MU) establishment, and overall measurement traceability.
Establish & monitor equipment SQC, equipment calibrations and maintenance planning.
Management of laboratory inventory and equipment to ensure continuous availability \xe2\x80\x93 basic maintenance, consumables / spare-parts procurement.
Support Lab manager in facing customer technical enquiries and feedback of analysis results.
Perform daily laboratory operations including organization of sample for analysis, results verifications, and timely release of reports.
Provide orientation & training to Lab analysts on quality systems, analysis methods, and equipment troubleshooting.
Identify and drive digitalization initiatives to increase laboratory operational efficiency and productivity.
Engagement with external customers to generate revenue and contribute to the business development of the Laboratory.

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Chemistry preferred. Other science and engineering degree holder with relevant lab experiences will also be considered.
Minimum of 4 years working experience in an analytical laboratory testing/manangement environment.
Working experience in handling quality system in ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
