Job Position: QC Shift Lab Technician

• Basic Salary: $1400 - $2500 (depending on experiences)
• Transport Allowance: $140
• Site allowance: $220
• Shift allowance: $660 when shift work starts.
• Night shift incentive of $40 per night
• Working Location: Jurong Island, company bus provided at Jurong East

• Support the plant in manufacturing of Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR) by conducting analytical testing which includes; routine & non-routine sample for trouble shooting, customer requests and complaints, non-routine samples during plant trial, plant start-up and plant upset.
• Perform trouble-shooting, calibration, maintenance of critical lab instruments (GC, HPLC, GPC, FTIR, Karl Fisher, Viscosity Machines and others).
• Perform Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) in QC laboratory.
• Monitor and control chemicals and its inventory in QC Laboratory.
• Trouble shoot instrument error, investigate root cause of QC lab instrument abnormality and provide corrective and improvement actions.
• Liaise with instrument vendor to sort out and fix instrument problem.
• Train and guide production analytical technicians on routine lab testing.
• Assist in product grading based on analysis, process control chart and warehouse records.
• Perform visual inspection & verification of finished product quality at the warehouse.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new system / instrument.
• Participate and perform annual inventory stock take.
• Perform QMS auditing on periodic basis (system, process and product audits).
• Prepare laboratory standards and perform equipment weekly verification using the standards.
• Generate and review ISO procedures and laboratory work instructions.
• Conduct Risk Assessment (RA) and perform 5S / Housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Carry out evaluation & experiment that Quality Manager & Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor instruct, if any.
• Perform any delegated work assigned by Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor and Quality Manager.

• NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates with relevant education background are welcomed to apply.
