A diploma or certificate in Food Science/Technology, Food Engineering or a related field is required. . 3 - 5 years of working experience in the food industry . Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with colleagues across different departments. . Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required. . Fast Learner, Willing to-learn attitude, Proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision. . Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SAP) Duties : . Assisting in laboratory-related works and assignments promptly with high technical integrity. . Prepare food & beverage products as well as ingredients with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). . Perform regular maintenance of laboratory equipment by inspecting calibrating, cleaning, or sterilizing . Working closely/Coordination with the production, warehouse, and in-line QC teams for sample collection and arrangement. . Liaising with the production team for in-line sample collection for sample down-packing related tasks. . Maintain the sample library inventory with a proper, organized, and accurate recording of the available stock quantity. Replenish the stock whenever needed (forecast/planning based on previous sample request quantities is needed). . Coordination with colleagues in other regions for ingredient sample arrangements. . Assist in bigger quantity sample arrangement through container shipment. Coordination with the production planner/scheduler, warehouse, shipping, and commercial team to ensure the sample is sent out on time/planned schedule. . Document management, e.g. CoA, inventory of cocoa samples or ingredients, sample shipment request creation, etc. . Incoming customer samples analysis arrangements - coordination with the QA/QC team for physical/chemical/microbiological analysis, result follow-up, and data entry. . Support shelf life studies: follow the planned schedule from the scientist/manager for shelf life project sample withdrawal, coordinate the analysis request, follow up the results and data entry. . Maintain complete & accurate recordings of test results, report on the significance of test results, and follow up with appropriate actions. Generate neat and accurate records timeously. . Basic application validation for customer complaints. . Ensure that the tasks as assigned are performed on time following a documented procedure. . Maintaining the inventory of lab consumable items, liaising with a potential vendor for quotation and PO creation in the SAP system. . Maintain a high level of health and safety, tidiness, and efficiency whilst working. . Ensure Good Lab Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize & Sustain). . Ensure Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines are being adhered to across the premises. .
