Job Description

Our client is a well-established MNC, market leader in the Food Manufacturing industry. They are looking for a Laboratory Assistant (Food Tech) to assist their Laboratory team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in North – easily accessible. This Laboratory Assistant (Food Tech) is responsible for Duties:

• Responsible in performing testing of CLS requests to meet agreed dateline and write the Test Protocol and Laboratory Report
• Responsible in communicating and working with marketing/technical services departments the results of CLS Food requests/projects and advise on the results accordingly.
• Responsible in communicating with sales and customers about CLS projects outcome under permitted disclosure.
• Responsible in maintaining CLS database, files, and log books
• Responsible in assisting in meeting the Strategic Plans for the department, i.e. providing customer seminar, on-site plant trial, lab trial, etc.
• Responsible in maintaining good laboratory practices in recording data, calibration of equipment to ensure accuracy of results, general laboratory maintenance and disposal, maintaining the stock keeping of chemicals and laboratory consumables (including purchasing).

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Food Science or related studies
• Prior 1 - 2 years of experience in food industry is a bonus
• Prior experience in handling analytical instruments such as UV/Vis spectrophotometer and Titrator is a bonus
• Prior exposure in wet chemistry techniques (extraction) is a bonus
