SUMMARY The Laboratory Assistant supports the Laboratory and Specimen Management Teams to provide safety testing for clinical trials. • Diploma in Biomedical Science or Life Sciences, or higher
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask and prioritise tasks appropriately
• Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quality Control Review draft study documentation for their accuracy. Ensure the integrity of data records: (i) Be responsible for the physical and electronic archival of study documentation, and (ii) Maintain binders for laboratory reagents and equipment. Collate results and prepare reports for laboratory proficiency testing programmes and environment monitoring
• Liaise Participate in vendor assessment and qualification activities. Liaise with referral laboratories for outsourced tests and results
• Organize Stock take and reconcile partial deliveries of reagents and consumables. Track and coordinate the maintenance of equipment. Navigate the laboratory information systems to enter and query results

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring that all the above processes are performed in accordance with:

• Definitive study protocols
• Current ICH Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice
• Ministry of Health, Singapore regulations
• Other legislations relevant to the responsibilities of the post
• College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation requirements
• Standard Operating Procedures
