:Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Laboratory Technician/ Trainee located in Jurong Island, Singapore through 22 July 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Singapore Time).All interested applicants, please read the before submitting application.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Performs approved analytical tests using ASTM and in-house test methods on Raw materials, Components, and Finished products as part of plant operations and customer service supportPerforms in-process tests as required by Technical and Operations DepartmentPerforms calibration and general maintenance of laboratory equipmentConducts tests on standard reference samples and maintain SMC/SQC chartsKeeps abreast of the changes in the test methods and calibration procedures to ensure accuracy of resultsAssists chemists in lab blend studies and analysis of non-routine samplesHandles Raw materials, Components and Finished products samples bottles in sample retention room as per corporate guidelinesCultivates High Performance Organization behavior at workMaintains best housekeeping practices and keep the laboratory premises clean and tidyRequired Qualifications/Requirements:Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical / Biochemical Sciences or equivalent studiesPreferably with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industryCandidates who lack relevant experience but are interested in working in a petrochemical industry are welcome to apply as training will be provided.Good analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood planning and organization skillsMust be prepared to work 12-hour rotating shiftRelocation Options:Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
