Job Description

What the role is:As a Landscape Architect, you will join a team of versatile Landscape Architects to chart and review HDB\'s landscape design policies, establish scope of services of external landscape consultants, and prepare design briefs and tender documents for implementation of landscape works in BTO or estate upgrading projects.What you will be working on:You will have the opportunity to manage landscape projects of BTO developments and complex strategic inter-agency landscape projects from inception till completion, and to ensure that they are implemented within time, budget and of high quality for handover to Authorities & Town Councils. You may also be called upon to undertake hands-on landscape design supervised by HDB\'s in-house landscape design studio where necessary. In addition, you may also be required to prepare and call tender for Environmental Impact Studies (EIA), monitor the progress, evaluate and provide inputs to housing developments plans based on the EIA findings.What we are looking for:\xc2\xb7 You should possess a relevant background in Landscape Architecture. A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a professional landscape practice & familiar with local Building Codes, especially NParks and PUB\'s ABC Waters design requirements. Knowledge and experience in design and implementation of large scale landscape projects, urban design projects and landscape masterplanning projects will be an advantage. \xc2\xb7 Keen interest and knowledge in local biodiversity & tropical plant species, technical detailing and landscape material knowledge. \xc2\xb7 Able to adopt landscape design or planning strategies that promotes the integration of building design and landscape to promote high quality user experience in high rise high density HDB development contexts. \xc2\xb7 Able to communicate effectively and possess a good command of English and writing skills, a passion for service delivery, and an ability to work independently.
