We are seeking a highly experienced

Lead AI Design Strategist

to join on a

6-month renewable contract

. This role will be responsible for establishing and leading the AI design practice for corporate and institutional banking (CIB) platforms. The strategist will create frameworks, design playbooks, and partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver innovative AI experiences in fintech and large corporate banking domains.

Key Responsibilities

Establish frameworks and playbooks for designing AI-driven tools across CIB coverage platforms and services. Develop AI-specific design approaches including conversational UX, co-pilot interactions, intelligent automation, and explainability. Translate ideas into wireframes and design concepts to align stakeholders. Partner closely with product owners, business owners, data scientists, and engineers to define and refine problem statements. Collaborate with AI service designers and product designers to strategise product experiences. Engage with research, analytics, and value capture teams to identify pain points and opportunities. Evangelise user experience within the organisation and influence strategic direction. Mentor and coach design teams on best practices for AI-driven solution design.

Requirements

Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum 10 years of experience in UX/Product Design, with at least 3-5 years in AI solution or experience design. Proven experience designing in fintech, banking, or large enterprise platforms. Strong knowledge of AI/ML applications in product design, including conversational AI, automation, and explainability. Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping workflows. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive adoption of design best practices. * Experience leading and mentoring design teams.
