The Cloud Architect will be responsible for help our customers architect and build highly scalable, reliable Cloud native applications on public cloud. The key objectives of this position are: The role will have a focus upon leading the pre-sales and post-sales activities and business deliverables Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, application, and infrastructure teams and align with customer needs. Helping customers architecture is scalable, highly available cloud solutions on private and/or public cloud solutions to ensure the architecture is delivered on-time and within budget. Work as a trusted advisor to customers in their cloud transformation journey Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the achievement of the sales/revenue targets for cloud services for APAC, as well as driving revenue growth across a broad set of targeted enterprise customers in collaboration with the various RTM and overlay sales teams. Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of cloud technologies and practices Act as trusted advisor to ascertain client requirements and lead architectural discussions to ensure the appropriate solutions proposed are designed successfully. This potentially includes understanding complex applications that may need to sit across several cloud platforms, service levels and technologies. Develop future state cloud blueprints for key systems along with a transition plan and a roadmap, prototype solutions as needed. In collaboration with the client engagement teams, assist with running customer cloud transformation workshops. Field technical questions and educate customers on the value proposition regarding Lumen's Hybrid Cloud Professional and Managed Services including assessment, consulting, migration and optimization services. Technical contribution to Proposals and Responses to RFI/RFP/RFTs pertaining to Lumen's Hybrid Cloud solutions. Support various marketing activities, which may include speaking at industry conferences, presenting webinars, and engaging in community events. As the cloud expert, provide regular training sessions to enable the Lumen sales and overlay teams as well as technical peers to collectively improve their knowledge and capabilities of Lumen's Hybrid Cloud offerings. Investigation and dissemination of competitive intelligence on Lumen's Hybrid Cloud competitors. Continually develop deep technical skills across Lumen's private cloud solutions as well as public cloud services including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. Fluency in architecture and design across all systems What We Look For In a Candidate: 5+ years' experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect with expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines 5+ years architecting and provisioning solutions by following the Well-Architected Framework on public cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles with the ability to perform pre-sales solutioning Proven ability to architect, design and implement cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions Hands-on experience with containerization platforms and server-less computing like Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS and ACK). Experience with migrations to the cloud from both physical and virtual environments Good in CI/CD systems Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, Github or similar Cloud Native tools (AWS/Azure Devops) Certified solution architect in public cloud technologies is an advantage Experience in Implementing Data Ingestion, transformation, and data quality frameworks in Realtime and Batch. Experience in developing low latency data processing solutions like AWS Kinesis, Kafka, Spark/snowflake Stream processing. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives. BS level technical degree or equivalent experience Computer Science or Engineering background preferred
