The Tech Lead/Architect will be part of the Transformation Projects team to lead the developers and manage outsourced vendors on technical design and strategies aspect. He/She will translate business stakeholders' IT needs and future goals into a plan by providing architectural oversight and guidance to the development team in the areas of modern software development using cloud native platforms, DevSecOps, data architecture, data analytics, robotic process automation and low code platform adoption. He/she will function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.Responsibilities. Drive the design of the modernised technical stack for the organisation to support digital initiatives and critical IT systems. Define the architecture patterns, practices and technical standards. Lead the team in sourcing and adopting new technology that improve business operational efficiency and customer experience. Perform code reviews and mentoring team members. Collaborate closely with cloud engineer and outsourced vendors in designing and developing cloud solution components. Own the technical requirements and evaluation during RFP process. Work closely with cross team members to deliver IT solutions. Build software prototypes as necessary to validate architecture approaches and assess emerging technologies. Ensure performance, availability, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and security SLAs. Assist in control and proper maintenance of internal documents received where applicable.. Provide feedback to HOD about the purchase of products and services supplied by vendors to assist in vendor evaluations.. Cover duties of fellow colleagues in their absence.. Perform any other duties as assigned.Requirements. A recognized diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant industry experience. 3-5 years work experience as technical lead, mentoring developers.. 3+ years of experience with architecting and engineering hybrid cloud solutions. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms, including GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or AWS CodeSuite. Experience with software development life cycle. Familiar with the use of version controlsystems for code management and artifact tracking. Ability to serve as technology mentor, facilitating the growth of colleagues. Ability to manage conflict and maintain productive working relationships. Ability to self-motivate to self learn new technology
