Plan, organize and direct, or provide support, in the technical studies, engineering development and construction of EDPR's electrical infrastructure projects in accordance with the parameters of quality, cost and specified deadlines, to ensure that strategic renewable energy projects are developed efficiently and delivered to the operating units finished and received for commercial operation.

Manage and coordinate internal team members efforts (control, protection, electromechanical, HV lines) to guarantee the correct support during the project E&C indicated stages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Support to the local Engineering teams of the different platforms
  • Collaboration with the local Engineering Team(s), the Electrical Technology Team and RODC/IT in reviewing conditions and restrictions analysis and grid code assessment
  • Collaboration with the local Engineering Team(s), the Electrical Technology Team and RODC/IT in reviewing substation configuration and layout, MV System Layout and circuits definition, grid connection agreement, reactive power compensation study etc
  • Collaboration with the local Engineering Team(s), the Electrical Technology Team and RODC/IT in reviewing external communications (Dispatch and TSO/DSO) design, internal site architecture and communications design, layout, circuits and selection definition etc.
  • Collaboration with the local Engineering & Construction Team(s) and RODC/IT in the preparation of the technical documents for the RfPs to be launched by Procurement Team(s) to the market including the full review of the (tender) technical documents
  • Management, in collaboration with the local Engineering & Construction Team(s), Technology Electrical Team and the Procurement Team(s), of the review of the offers coming from the tender phase
  • Collaboration with the local Engineering & Construction Team(s), Technology Electrical Team and the Procurement Team(s), of the review of the offers coming from the tender phase
  • Provide Technical Support to the Local Construction teams of the different platforms in terms of construction, site testing, first energization and post grid connection
  • Collaborate with the Technology team in the management of the technical qualification/homologation of the different manufacturers for their certification and acceptance for inclusion in RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Support the E&C team in the transfer of construction projects to the operating units.

Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years experience in engineering/construction/testing and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Experience and/or knowledge of electrical tests for transformers, switchgear, fault analysis and power regulation, electrical systems (substations, HV/MV overhead lines, HV/MV underground lines, transformers, electrical switchgear, SCADA, control and protection systems).
  • Knowledge of contracting Engineering Services and EPC’s regarding renewable energy projects (performance requirements, warranties, LD’s, etc.).
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Business acumen and demonstrated strong project management skills
