Responsibilities
This Lead Engineer (Chemical / Process / Mechanical ) to support the cryogenic storage and pipelines - LNG/Ammonia / Hydrogen related projects. Role offers a challenging career prospect to those who have a strong interest in the Transitional and clean Fuel industry.
Providing design and technical advice in the field of cryogenic storage, transportation and pipe transmission such as LNG, Ammonia and Hydrogen.
Lead in System design which varies from conceptual design through final design and implementation of natural gas storage system or cryogenic storage system for onshore/offshore (regasification terminal), floating storages and cryogenic carriers.
Isotank design experience, ship to ship and truck to ship transfers will be an added advantage; Operational experience will be a plus
Candidate must have strong knowledge in the storage, transportation and pipeline transmission of Transitional (LNG) and Clean Fuel (Ammonia, Hydrogen) related technology and strong engineering design skills, industry value chain. Candidate will be responsible for producing design reports and engineering deliverables
Where required the candidate will initiate and support improvement - projects that lead to improved designs for future storage innovations
Lead and grow the transitional fuel and clean fuel business - storage, transportation and pipe transmission
Requirements
Degree in Chemical Engineering (Or Mechanical)
Min. 10 years relevant experiences
Sufficient knowledge on LNG, Ammonia and Hydrogen properties and behaviour in real processes
Cryogenic experience; 5 years in design of refrigerators operating at a temperature of 4 kelvin or below. Operation experience will be a plus
Familiar with LNG codes, NFPA 59A, 49 CFR 193(preferred)
Knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 192 and 193 a plus
Knowledge of ASME / ANSI B31.2, B31.4, B31.8 and B31.8S codes and relevant API regulations is preferred
Conversant with engineering and designing hardware using standard engineering tool (Aspen, CREO, Solidworks, MATLAB and/or Simulink) and advanced engineering tools like ABAQUS
Knowledge in thermal modeling or cryogenic systems using advance multi physics engineering software (combined engineering analysis with computational flow dynamics, Heat Transfer, and Cryo Analysis) would be an advantage
Experience in the maritime or transportation industry, and in the LNG / Ammonia / Hydrogen market
Knowledge of LNG Ammonia / Hydrogen related technology, capability development and implementation of new technologies
Experience in planning and designing of natural gas systems for distribution and transmission, is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as have a good network on contacts in the LNG / Ammonia / Hydrogen industry
