Job Description

What the role is:Lead Engineer (Sys&Apps) assists Head (Sys&Apps) in implementing effective and timely ICT solutions for Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and Singapore Prison Service (SPS). This jobholder is responsible for the project management and implementation of operational ICT applications in the HTDs and assists Head (Sys&Apps) in driving and developing strategic and long-term technology plans to ensure congruence with the HTDs\' transformation and strategic directions. In addition, Lead Engineer (Sys&Apps) assists Head (Sys&Apps) to maintain and manage the sustainment of the ICT solutions. Lead Engineer (Sys&Apps) also works with other PMCs and oversees the integration of WOG\'s and MHA\'s ICT solutions and services.What you will be working on:Lead Engineer (Sys&Apps) assists Head (Sys&Apps) in implementing effective and timely ICT solutions for Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and Singapore Prison Service (SPS). Lead Engineer (Sys&Apps) also works with other PMCs and oversees the integration of WOG\'s and MHA\'s ICT solutions and services.What we are looking for:The jobholder should have: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information/Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or related discipline. \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 5 years of relevant software development, business analysis or project management working experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 Participated in at least one full software or product development cycles. Agile Methodology experience will be an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven experience in IT business analysis and/or IT project management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic knowledge of Cloud, Data Analytics, Service Design/Design Thinking, Agile Development Methodology, low-code development platforms such as UiPath and Microsoft Power Apps Platform. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
