Job Description

Job Objectives:

To lead and manage all Instrumentation & Control engineering activities for the FPSO project, ensuring the design, development, and implementation of I&C systems meet project requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The role will ensure technical integrity, integration, and timely delivery of all I&C deliverables.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead the design, engineering, and execution of all I&C systems including field instrumentation, control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G), and automation for the FPSO. Review and approve I&C engineering deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, block diagrams, cable schedules, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control philosophies. Ensure design compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API, ABS, DNV). Interface with process, mechanical, electrical, and safety engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of I&C systems. Oversee selection and specification of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and control panels. Provide leadership to I&C engineering team and manage subcontractors or vendors for instrumentation packages. Participate in HAZOP, SIL studies, and ensure implementation of functional safety requirements (IEC 61511). Review FAT/SAT plans and participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning support. Ensure that I&C designs are optimized for operability, maintainability, and safety. Support procurement with technical evaluations (TBE), vendor document review, and package integration. Monitor progress, risks, and quality of I&C deliverables and coordinate with project planning and management teams. Ensure proper documentation and handover for as-built and commissioning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering discipline. Minimum

10+ years

of relevant experience in I&C engineering, with at least

5 years in FPSO or offshore oil & gas projects

. Strong knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, ISA, API RP 14C, IEC 61511. Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., SPI/INtools, AutoCAD, DCS/PLC configuration software). Experience with control systems such as Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, or Siemens is an advantage. * Familiarity with SIL classification, safety lifecycle, and functional safety assessments.
