Job Purpose
The candidate is expected to work on the Regional IFRS17 Programme as a Data Mapper cum Business Analyst. The Programme is implementing solutions for compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards for Insurance Industry which the Company targets to go live in January 2023 for Singapore & Malaysia entities and 2 years later for Indonesia entities.
The candidates key role to be performed in the SDLC is to elicit and analyse data requirements, provide technical translation to business requirements captured in mapping documents for Extract Transform and Load (ETL), conduct System Integration Test (SIT), and support Users Acceptance Test (UAT) and user training. The candidate is also expected to follow our Group IT Application Processes, Standards & Procedures.
The Job
\xc2\xb7Facilitate / conduct workshops for business users to identify project requirements. Gather, analyse, document and follow up on user requirements.
\xc2\xb7 Perform data mapping from source to target data fields by understanding the core IFRS17 requirements, software solution and how to implement this within Great Eastern Finance and Actuarial business teams.
\xc2\xb7 Based on the requirements, generate artefacts needed for solution generation. These artefacts include - Data Mapping specification for ETL purposes, integration/interface specifications, site-map and page-flow, and the usage of UML diagram to detail the process flow and solution.
\xc2\xb7 Build an understanding on IFRS17 product and configuration in order to support the business during configuration and build phase. Ability to analyse and pull out data from database to analyse situations to support configuration.
\xc2\xb7 Work with IFRS17 solution vendor on System Unit testing.
\xc2\xb7 Hands on planning and execution of functional test cases, perform execution of System Integration Test (SIT) cutting across source data teams and outbound systems.
\xc2\xb7 Support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regular tracking of test progress status and defect management.
\xc2\xb7 Develop IFRS17 and contribute towards insurance-specific SME knowledge for group-wide knowledge management

Our Requirements
a) Qualifications
\xc2\xb7 Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Finance / Insurance degree
\xc2\xb7 Certified Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent)
\xc2\xb7 Certified Agile / Scrum practitioner will be an added advantage
b) Working Experience
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 4-5 years working experience in IT preferably in Insurance industry and experience handling projects or BAU in Insurance core systems or Finance systems
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3 years ETL data mapping experience in Insurance domain and Financial reporting systems
\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of how legacy systems relate/interface with each other
\xc2\xb7 Ability to translate business requirements documentation into data requirements and source-to-target data mappings
\xc2\xb7 Understanding of data models and ETL processing
\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with application programming and data model design processes
\xc2\xb7 Experience in using SQL to profile data prior to mapping
\xc2\xb7 Comfortable with handling data analysis via database queries - Hive SQL query execution on Hadoop platform
\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL database added advantage to support business, testing, troubleshooting etc
\xc2\xb7 Must be able to provide Sample data mapping documents
\xc2\xb7 Experience in Data Warehouse a plus
\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of IFRS4 or IFRS17 is an advantage
\xc2\xb7 Good Insurance domain knowledge and knowledge of insurance products is preferred
