Job Purpose

The staff will be responsible for leading and managing the learning operations team in SMRT Institute (SMRTi). Reporting to the Head, Training, the staff will manage training and operational budget for SMRTi, execute strategic initiatives to improve training operations effectiveness and oversee training grants submission to various authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead in grant scheme formulation & development process, including liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, to meet the desired objective, funding requirements and training outcomes.
• Oversee and report training grants submission that for various entities within SMRT group which is not limited to:

• SFw In-house accredited courses
• Absentee Payroll declaration
• Standalone grants programme
• Oversee and manage the execution of SMRT's learning administration processes which may include:

• Logistics and resource arrangements for onboarding courses
• Record and database management
• Oversee implementation of business continuity strategies within SMRTi
• Oversee and manage a team of Managers and/or Supervisors in:

• Conducting manpower and resource planning for the Learning Operations based on SMRTi's objectives
• Develop staff through ongoing coaching and mentoring
• Prepare management reports and regular updates on progress and development of key Learning Operations workplan activities.
• Review SOPs and work processes as appropriate to enhance work productivity within team.
• Provide guidance in training administration support for learning-related systems (such as Learning Management System (LMS), knowledge management and SharePoint applications)
• Assume the role of CARE Activation Officer.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree, in any discipline from a recognized university
• At least 5 years of relevant training operations experience in a Learning & Development environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Familiarity with using SAP, ARIBA, Training Provider Gateway and SuccessFactors preferred

• Strong ability in navigating and operating online course registration and grants application websites/portals and internal IT and LMS systems.
• Good analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Possess high level of personal effectiveness, attention to detail and impeccable follow through
• Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills combined with excellent time management
• Capable of handling multiple tasks, working well under pressure and short timelines
• Result-oriented and exceptional problem-solving skills to address existing challenges to achieve sustainable and impactful results

• Able to lead a group of managers and supervisors of diverse background and experience
• A team player who is a fast learner, has an open mind-set, collaborative, highly dependent, committed, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking.
