Job Description

Our client is a well-established MNC, market leader in the Engineering industry. They are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to assist their Engineering team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in Town – easily accessible. This Lead Manufacturing Engineer would be responsible for :

• Responsible in leading industrialization of Product Line products from award phase up to series production
• Responsible in supporting kick-off meetings and MSD workshops with the PML, create process flow
• Responsible in driving Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly to ensure having a producible design
• Responsible in enforcing proper requirements management and align with Design Quality Engineer accordingly, plan requirements transfer to PML
• Responsible in aligning industrialization deliverables with Design Quality Engineer , being customer interface for technical discussion
• Responsible in developing the production line concept with optimized material flow, estimated cycle times, and traceability concept
• Responsible in ensuring supplier packaging requirements are met
• Responsible in attending the regular meetings and drive a proper escalation in case of problems
• Responsible in creating and maintaining the Manufacturing Engineering project schedule with regard to the project milestones
• Responsible in preparing and organizing the milestone build dates with process engineers from PML, starting with early prototype builds and organization of needed prototype equipment, including documentation
• Responsible in attending key build events for new layouts and all customer attended events
• Responsible in driving and tracking Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, respecting Functional Safety aspects with related documentation
• Responsible in planning needed equipment/technology, manage Statement of Work and equipment procurement
• Responsible in tracking needed equipment and tooling, ensure availability of needed material for all equipment/tool development, install equipment/design reviews before approving start of fabrication/development
• Responsible in performing equipment buy-off at suppliers and request PML process engineers to attend and approve as needed, drive capability studies, create list of key parameters to be transferred to quality plan
• Responsible in planning product and process/equipment training and handover to PML
• Responsible in participating in escalation meetings on program management level with prepared reports and options for resolution

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or relevant studies
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering
• Prior automotive industry experience is a bonus
