Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Marine Engineer with experience in WHP Marine Engineering Systems to support the in-house engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Lead conceptual, FEED studies (including philosophies and basis of design), system integration, calculations and analyses as part of life extension and conversion scope. Using condition assessment (CA) of existing rig equipment and system to map out survey planning document (SPD) as part of Class special survey process (SPS). CA will be read in conjunction with analyses such as structural, elevated, leg penetration and site-speci?c assessments for global reinforcement and RLE works. Prepare technical speci?cations, method statements and review recommendations from consultants. Generate and manage drawing/ document lists (MDL), ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables. Drive 3D mapping, walkthrough and model reviews. Monitor master schedule with regards to engineering deliverables. Coordinate with internal teams - procurement, multidiscipline technical, regulatory compliance (RC), tech safety and project management to resolve technical and delivery issues. Translate into engineering action items and deliverables. Review marine equipment package speci?cations, TBE/ TQ, datasheets, P&IDs, GADs. Interface checks for packages as part of integration with existing rig systems eg. piping, E&I and ?re & gas and structures. Perform detailed engineering review (marine piping, HVAC, and machinery) by external subcontractors. Ensure quality of work and all drawings/ materials meet technical and regulatory standards. Liaise with Classi?cation society on engineering submissions and reviews as part of RLE, repairs and conversion scopes. Track and monitor design issues, follow up on Class comments for timely resolution. Attend tests/ trials, liaise with vendors and surveyors as necessary. Review as-builts and ?nal documentation submissions.
Requirements:

Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical or Marine Engineering. 5-8 years' experience in marine engineering design. Strong knowledge of marine systems, piping, and layout. Familiar with international codes and standards, Class and Statutory rules. Experience with Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), EPC and conversion projects. Proven track record in the design and engineering of jack-up (drilling) and ?xed platform (process and production). Independently manage complex engineering tasks, conduct regulatory and technical reviews. Manage external designers, vendors and consultants effectively.
