Job Description


The job of an industry lead and academic is both challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and moulding their characters as well as always having the finger on the industry pulse and trends. This role needs to be very proficient in digital marketing as we build on opportunities to leverage technology and social media to build capability in our students and other business initiatives in outreach. Events planning and coordination work will be required to support the Business & The Creatives (BC) Cluster\xe2\x80\x99s outreach programmes. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too.

The appointee must also be competent to teach in the Media, Arts & Design School for digital marketing-related modules and event management, particularly in at least 2 of the following areas:

  • Digital Content Development
  • Writing for News, Features and Branded Content
  • Creative Video Content Creation
  • Public Relation
  • Project Management
Responsibilities:-
  • Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials, and facilitate learning for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) (youths and adult learners)
  • Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum and ensure industry relevancy
  • Work with external partners and SP schools/departments to coordinate and deliver modules effectively
  • Help craft and run unique institutional programmes and initiatives
  • Assist module teams to support the module teaching staff in delivering lessons and carry out other module-related matters effectively
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns at the cluster level to effectively promote BC\xe2\x80\x99s outreach activities.
  • Support key internal stakeholders to develop narratives to promote the BC brand.
  • Ideate and create compelling, engaging and high-quality content for multiple marketing platforms for our target audience. This includes website content, social media posts, videos and printed materials.
  • Maintain and update BC\xe2\x80\x99s corporate webpages.
  • Monitor, engage and respond to conversations from various social media platforms and SP website.
  • Generate reports and analyse metrics of BC\xe2\x80\x99s marketing platforms and website, including campaign ROIs and competitor benchmarking.
  • Manage BC stakeholders; ensure that deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Assist in planning and execution of BC outreach activities, like SP Open House, school talks, learning journeys, etc.
Requirements:-
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience
  • Proven ability to deliver effective digital media content and event management, will be a plus.
  • Must have experience working on digital and social media marketing campaigns.
  • Strong passion in mentoring students and show genuine concern for them
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Resourceful and innovative with initiative
  • Relevant qualifications in business, design or equivalent
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
