Our leading Japanese EPC client in Singapore is currently looking for suitable candidates for the Lead/ Senior Building Engineer - Architect role
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead the engineer team to carry out building engineering jobs in front end engineering design, detail engineering design. To assist discipline manager to allot project building portion manpower. To generate project specification, design philosophy, calculation template to comply clients' requirement. Building project team manhour control, schedule control. To review & check BIM done by either CAD group or 3rd parties. To supply design drawing information and instructions to Designers ensuring technical completeness and clearness of data for effective workflow. Checks own design outputs and reviews design drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness to design requirements and concepts. Coordinates with other Engineers and Designers to facilitate production of civil design and drawing outputs. Performs other functions that may be assigned by the Department Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Architectural. Minimum of ten (10) year experience in the field design of industrial buildings (Control Buildings, Laboratory, Substations, etc.). With at least 2 years construction experience will be preferred. In Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Petrochemical, chemical and industrial plants and consistent career experience in the engineering department. Ability to prepare floor plan, sections & details, finish schedule, door & window schedule for industrial buildings. Blast resistant building design experience is an advantage. Have knowledge & experience in selection architectural materials. Have knowledge in international codes and standards such as IBC, NFPA, etc. Have experience in REVIT operation. Strong leadership qualities and analytical and reasoning abilities. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information, contracts reports and instructions.
