As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect (Infrastructure & On-Prem Systems) in our team, you will be a key technical leader who shapes winning solutions for Singapore public sector clients by bridging mission needs with robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure architectures
You will design end-to-end, primarily on-premise and hybrid infrastructure solutions (compute, storage, network, security, platforms) that meet stringent government requirements, and work closely with sales, delivery, and practice teams to drive successful bids and client outcomes

• Render pre-sales technical support to account and bid teams, including solutioning, effort estimation, and responses to RFPs/RFQs for infrastructure and platform projects.
• Analyse tender specifications and client requirements, define solution options, and develop competitive, compliant technical proposals and architectures.
• Translate business and operational requirements into end-to-end infrastructure solution architectures and detailed design specifications across compute, storage, network, security, and platform layers.
• Define and document high-level components, integrations, and data flows for on-premise and hybrid environments (e.g. DC, private cloud, secure enclaves, DR sites).
• Evaluate and recommend technologies (servers, hypervisors, storage, backup, virtualization, container platforms, system management tools) that meet performance, availability, and security needs.
• Ensure designs conform to government and enterprise standards, including cybersecurity controls, compliance, and architecture governance policies.
• Work closely with engineering and implementation teams to ensure solution intent is realised during delivery, providing design clarification and guidance.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and solution walkthroughs with customer stakeholders, clearly articulating architectural decisions, trade-offs, and value.
• Collaborate with domain practices (C3, autonomous/wireless, security systems, video intelligence) to integrate infrastructure designs with complex sensors, communications networks, and AI/analytics platforms.
• Contribute reusable architecture patterns, BoMs, and proposal templates to improve bid quality and speed across the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and design, with at least 3-5 years in pre-sales / solution architecture roles for enterprise or public sector clients.
• Strong architecture design skills across infrastructure, platform, integration, and security layers, with emphasis on on-premise and private/hybrid cloud environments. Hands-on experience with:

Server and virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
Storage, backup, and DR solutions (SAN/NAS, snapshot/replication, backup suites). * Enterprise networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, load balancers).

• Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and system administration/scripting.
• Good understanding of security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance requirements in government/on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and platform technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift, middleware, API gateways) will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex tender documents, produce solution architecture documents, HLD/LLD, and BoM with cost estimates.
