Position : Lead Specialist (IT Infrastructure)

Department: Information Technology Services

Working Hours: Mon to Thu: 8.30am to 6pm; Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice on strategic direction in the provision of computing resources and capacity planning for IT infrastructure. . Lead performance strategic planning for new and significant on-premise and cloud infrastructure to meet organisation goals and objectives. . Plan for infrastructure project upgrades for smooth deployment of application systems into new on-premise or cloud infrastructure. . Design and plan the migration of on-premise applications to the cloud. . Plan and negotiate IT infrastructure contracts management to ensure timely renewal and fulfilment of obligations by the vendors. . Plan and monitor Disaster Recovery Plan to measure relevant risk indicators. . Formulate IT infrastructure operational policies, standards and guidelines. . Formulate plans and strategies to ensure the IT infrastructure complies with national and organisational policies and standards for network and server security, patch management, mobile security management, cloud deployment, etc. . Review the services provided by the IT Service Management Centre for staff and students to help the team improve its service levels. . Build partnerships with service providers to ensure smooth provisioning of Service Desk and End-User Support. . Formulate end-user policies and procedures in compliance with operational and security requirements. . Collaborate with other Poly/ITE to plan and propose joint-tenders for procurement of end devices and related services or software. . Present and update senior management regarding IT infrastructure strategies and projects.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in Computer Science (or related fields) with at least 15 years of IT working experience, of which at least 10 years are in a managerial position in IT infrastructure management and at least 3 years of cloud computing experience either with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure. . Experience in managing a team of IT professionals covering a broad spectrum of IT infrastructure services in end devices, hardware, network, data centre and Cloud. . Proven competency in technologies such as OS, SDN, LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN, VDI, UC, Active Directory, network shaping and monitoring, switches, firewall, etc. . Strong project and time management with good skills in dealing with people. . Good experience and expertise in stakeholder management, vendor management, incident and change management, and issue management. . Persuasive oral, written communication and presentation skills . Competency in contract and outsourcing management of hosted services and infrastructure as a service will be an added advantage. . Relevant industry certification(s) such as Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies/Design, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), CITPM, PMP, CITBCM, CISSP, etc., will be preferred.

Salary: S$7,470 to $11,660/month (depending on qualifications & experience)
