Lecturer (Branding and Graphic Design)

• Mould young minds via inspiring workshops and studio practice, student consultations, supervision of assignments and projects which sit on the intersection of technology and design.
• Focus on quality of lesson design and delivery through engaging teaching and learning strategies and methods, exploiting wherever possible, technology to promote learning.
• Actively engage with industry and professional bodies to stay abreast with and be responsive to changing trends in the profession and the educational landscape
• Be mindful of and address the diverse learning needs of students in class and implement ways to holistically develop the potential of students through a range of interventions
• Promote skills upgrading amongst working adults through development and facilitation of professional workshops and continuing education training programmes.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for dedicated individuals with unique perspectives and the ability to deliver and excite, both in the classroom and in the realm of communication design processes. The candidate should be:

• A design leader who excels in crafting brands characterised by elevated design aesthetics and impeccable visual execution
• A strategic thinker who translates consumer insights and business needs into effective design solutions
• Experienced in developing brands from strategy to execution, creating visual concepts and designs that align seamlessly with a brand\'s identity while catering to the requirements of clients and marketing teams
• A specialist in designing brand systems and carrying out their implementation, ensuring a consistent and creative output
• A discerning eye for detail and impeccable craftsmanship, demonstrating mastery in typography, layout and logo creation
• An expert in various digital and offset print production techniques, including experience in packaging design
• A collaborator, working closely with clients and marketing teams to ensure that designs accurately convey the desired brand image and messaging
• Highly skilled in graphic manipulation, with a mastery of graphic design and layout using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign

Capabilities in the following areas will be advantageous:

• Mastery of cutting-edge technologies, such as GenAI, Web3, and AR/VR, showcasing a deep comprehension of their potential uses in branding
• A good grasp of UI/UX principles and the ability to craft compelling and user-centric digital experiences
