What the role is:
This position is within the School of Business which offers the Diploma in International Trade & Logistics.
What you will be working on:
- Conduct and deliver lessons to full-time diploma students and part-time adult learners in supply chain management, logistics, and related fields - Design, prepare and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning) as well as to set and mark assessments - Support student learning and development through supervision, mentoring, consultations and inspiring students to actively participate in student development activities, events and competitions. This includes coaching students for competitions and leading students for local and overseas learning trips - Undertake industry consultancy projects in areas such as business process improvement, digitalisation and supply-chain sustainability. - Foster industry collaborations - Take on committee roles and any other duties as may be assigned - Stay current and responsive to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities
What we are looking for:
- Academic training in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline. - At least 3 years of work experience in the supply chain and/or logistics sector with exposure to business analytics and business process improvement. - A nurturing mindset with a passion for working with young adults and experienced learners. - Competent in planning, developing and teaching supply chain management related modules. - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and in meeting deadlines. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Possess data analytics skills with the ability to interpret and act on data-driven insights. - Proficiency in using workflow automation tools. - Have strong industry linkages as you will be required to manage and support industry projects. - Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. - Have a passion for developing talent and enjoy working with young adults and adult learners. - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to invest in continuous learning. - Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills - Industry certification/s in one or more areas in Project Management, Six Sigma, Business Analytics and/or Sustainability is/are a definite advantage.
