Lecturer (Philosophy & Singapore Studies)
The National University of Singapore (NUS) Department of Philosophy seeks applicants for Lecturer (Educator Track) appointment, to offer a course satisfying the Singapore Studies requirement of the NUS General Education (GESS1029 Everyday Ethics in Singapore). The course teaches applied ethics relevant to the Singapore setting, while being informed by relevant social scientific and empirical research on Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the course, offering it both in Semester 1 and Semester 2, and for coordinating all relevant administrative processes relating to that, including the leading and mentoring of teaching assistants. The anticipated start date is January 2024. The appointment is for a period of 1-2 years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
