The School of Science and Technology at JCU Singapore offers both under- and postgraduate degrees in IT, Cybersecurity and Science. Please visit or for more information. Due to the continuing success of the IT programs and the increasing demand for graduates in this field, we are now seeking suitable candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Information Technology.

Applicants from all areas of IT are welcome to apply but expertise in one or more the following areas will be a significant plus:

• FinTech (including blockchain technology)
• Internet of Things
• Cybersecurity

The appointees will be experienced academic / faculty members and will be responsible for teaching and supervision in post/graduate courses in IT and Science in relevant areas. Applications are invited from candidates with a Ph.D. qualification with a focus in IT or related discipline. Membership of professional bodies and associations will also be an added advantage.

Duties

• A leadership role in curriculum development and teaching.
• Course and subject coordination.
• Supervision of major honours or postgraduate research projects.
• Supervision of the program of study for honours and postgraduate students engaged in course work.
• Significant contribution to the profession, and/or discipline.
• While this role will emphasize teaching duties at first, active contribution to Research is welcome and opportunities to move to a more balanced teaching/research workload are possible.

Selection Criteria:

• A Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
• Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students at under- and postgraduate levels.
• The ability to teach across a range of subjects at various levels.
• Evidence of academic leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Employment type: Fulltime tenure subject to work pass approval and a probationary period.

Remuneration and conditions: The positions command an appropriate remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience. All employment salary arrangements are offered in Singapore currency. Candidates must consider the relatively lower tax structure in Singapore and the organisational practice of annual wage supplement equal to a month\'s salary at the end of the calendar year (as eligible) subject to JCU board\'s decision.

Lecturer: SGD 77 000 per annum - 119 000 per annum

Senior Lecturer: SGD 104 000 per annum - SGD147 000 per annum

Associate Professor: SGD114 000 per annum - SGD187 000 per annum
