Job Description

What the role is:Lecturer in School of Informatics & IT (Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence)What you will be working on:

• Conduct lessons (Face-to-Face and Online) and carry out all relevant responsibilities related to the teaching role for part-time and/or full-time courses;
• Design, develop and maintain new/existing teaching materials and assessments;
• Supervise and develop student capabilities in project work (including e-learning and self-directed learning);
• Assess and evaluate student assignments and their academic performances;
• Coach and mentor students to support their learning;
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in Software Development, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant qualifications in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related studies
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in application development and/or artificial intelligence in any of the following areas:

Artificial Intelligence Area:
o Relevant work experience in machine learning libraries such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, etc will be an advantage,
o Proficient in at least two of the programming languages (C#, JavaScript, Java, Python),
o Experience in using Generative AI tools, developing applications with models such as Large Language Model(LLM) and other foundation modelsData Analytics Area:
o Experience in building data pipelines (including sourcing data, uploading and storing data, cleaning data and basic data visualisation)
o Deep knowledge of the following: testing and databases; business analytics and data visualisation fundamentals; Cloud and Containers; Cloud Services; Data Warehouses, Data Security, and Data Cleaning; ETL, Serverless and Logging; Integration & deployment and Data Lakes
o Familiar with the following tools: Python, Python libraries (Pandas), Py Tests, SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, Apache Spark, ETL, Cloud tools: Azure, Google & AWS (e.g. S3 buckets, Glue, Redshift), Data Lakes, GitHub. PowerBI, Tableau, Snowflake, Apache Airflow

• A passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youth and adult learners
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
