What the role is:Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Computer Engineering)What you will be working on:Develop and deliver curriculum / courseware / e-learning modules for full-time / part-time courses for students and adult learners in the areas of either Embedded Electronics or Artificial Intelligence or Software Development (Full Stack Development preferred)Supervise student projects and internships in partnership with industry in these areasCounsel, coach and mentor students to support their learning, participation in competitions, career guidance and personal developmentUndertake academic related administration and committee work, and support outreach activities and study tripsPlan, lead, manage and develop projects with industry partnersWhat we are looking for:Qualification in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or related fields, with at least 3-6 years of relevant industry experience in the respective field. \xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8bFor Embedded Electronics areas:Knowledge and experience in embedded system development using C/C++/Python in Embedded Linux and ARM-based MCU, and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, MODBUS TCP/IP and RS232/RS485 will be an advantage.Experience in wireless communication system/protocols, eg. Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Lora will be an advantage.ORFor Artificial Intelligence areas:Good knowledge and experience in Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Neural Network and reinforcement learningExperienced in using Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe, Caffe2, PyTorch, or MxNet, Keras or CNTKORFor Software Development areas:Experience working with technologies related to Javascript, PHP, NodeJS, SQL, MQTT/s, Rest APIs, JSON, HTTP/s will be an advantage.Good knowledge in end to end software development, from client-end to backend services, with experiences in either .Net, Java, MS SQL/Oracle databases.ANDAbility to work independently and multi-task effectively.Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.Good interpersonal communication and documentation / presentation skills.Passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with young minds.About Temasek Polytechnic:Established in 1990, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) is a leading institution of high learning nestled by the idyllic shores of Bedok Reservoir in Tampines.
