Job Description
What the role is:The School of Applied Science invites applications for a full-time teaching position of a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer who will be involved in teaching duties in general biology and alternative protein specialised learning units under the Professional Competency Model for both the Core Science Programme and Diploma in Food Science & Nutrition. The candidate must also undertake Industry and R&D related projects in the cultivated meat /seafood domain.What you will be working on:
- Responsible for curriculum development and delivery, project supervision, assessment setting and marking for full-time and part-time courses (continuous education programme)
- Coach and mentor students and be involved in student development activities beyond the classroom.
- Plan, lead and manage poly-wide, R&D, and industry projects.
- Perform administrative and academic duties.
- Collaborate with industry to enhance students\' learning.
- At least 5 years of working experience in an R&D field related to stem cell biology, biotechnology, and/or tissue engineering.
- Experience in Alternative Protein Technologies including but not limited to the following specialised domains would be an advantage:
- Cultivated Meat and Seafood Technology R&D
- Serum-Free Culture Media Development
- Bioprocess Protocol Development
- Edible Scaffold and Microcarrier Research
- Analytical Chemistry
