[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Special Needs & Psychology in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Curriculum development, course delivery (both face-to-face and online) and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:

Managing Special Needs

Behaviour Management & Intervention

Social Psychology

Abnormal Psychology

Health Psychology

Industrial & Organisational Psychology

Youth Work Management

Designing Youth Activities & Programmes

Academic Writing & Presentation

Workplace Communication

Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with the industry, institutes of higher learnings & related agencies

Keep abreast with latest trends and developments in the areas of special needs

Handle administrative work relating to teaching and assigned projects

Supervise students during internships

Be up to date with the latest developments in the special needs, in the areas of technology, community solutioning

[What we are looking for]

Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or equivalent

Direct experience and keen interest in special needs

Experience in teaching communications related subjects and/or have IT skills will be an advantage

An agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

Project/time management and attention to detail
