Job Description






The Legal & Compliance Executive takes on the dual role of a legal executive and a compliance executive. As a Legal & Compliance Executive, he/she will report to and assist the Senior Manager in all legal-related tasks including but not limited to reviewing and drafting contracts, documents, and correspondence. As a compliance executive, he/she will assist and administer the organization-wide development and enhancement of business processes, including policies, flow charts and forms. The incumbent will also conduct legal reviews of the business processes to ensure their compliance with the applicable laws, codes of practices, and best industry practices and propose enhancements to the current business processes and/or develop new business processes. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Manager in all legal-related tasks including but not limited to reviewing and drafting contracts, documents, and correspondence.
  • Study and understand the operational and maintenance process.
  • Administer and support the development and documentation of the policy, process flow, and chart.
  • Administer and support the development of Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for systems and conduct gap analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, divisional and corporate policies, and guidelines.
  • Administer the development, updating, and maintenance of technical, operational, and systems documentation.
  • Develop and review training and documentation materials for operational and maintenance (e.g., work instructions) to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and work processes.
  • Provide support in defining technical skills and competencies and procedures.
  • Support the Senior Manager in overseeing the resolution of compliance-owned management action plans for audits and inspections.
  • Build and maintain a proactive and constructive relationship with business and functional stakeholders, working with the Senior Manager to design appropriate controls focusing on risk identification and management.
  • Monitor and share changes in regulatory requirements, developments, and compliance updates to the team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Business Management or Law, Diploma in Law & Management, Diploma in Legal Executive Studies.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience (for a Diploma in Law). Candidates who newly graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) are welcome to apply.
  • Proficient in documentation skills and ability to write procedures and training manuals.
  • Committed and meticulous with a good eye for details.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong & effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
