Job Description

Our client is a well-established MNC, market leader in the E-Commerce industry. They are looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager to assist their Legal team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in East – easily accessible. The Legal & Compliance Manager is responsible for

• Responsible in reviewing, analysing, and proposing risk mitigation alternatives on the Company’s various types of contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements, tenders, and professional service agreements.
• Responsible to ensure processes and documentations are following necessary regulations ( E.g MAS Payment Services Act Regulations)
• Responsible in reviewing, drafting and negotiating terms and conditions of various types of contracts with external parties and partners of the Company
• Responsible in acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel in relation to external legal advice and its interpretation and management of legal costs.
• Responsible in participating in negotiations with relevant counter parties as well as external legal counsels
• Responsible in reviewing Company’s business activities and conduct regular compliance reviews.
• Responsible in participating in mitigation processes in line with overall standard operating procedures of the organisation
• Responsible in assisting in providing internal stakeholders with information regarding department processes, procedures and contract development as requested, including development and presentation of training materials
• Responsible to support (PDPA) Company’s Personal DataProtection Management Programme in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, including the maintenance of the Company’s Data Protection Policies and Procedures.
• Any other adhoc duties assigned

Requirments

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Business Management, or relevant studies
• Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience and exposure in compliance, legal contract management and administration.
• Prior hands on experience with contracts, PDPA, and Regulatory Compliances is required
• Prior knowledge on the Payment Services Act is a bonus
