Sequoia), EDBI and Founders Fund - renowned backers of industry-shaking innovators.About this RoleWe are looking for a self-motivated Legal Counsel, with an excellent interpersonal skills and strong business acumen who will provide relevant advisory on a wide breadth of topics which translate into immediate impact to Circles.Life\'s hypergrowth.The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work within an entrepreneurial environment, having the personal freedom to act, and be part of a fun, energetic team who are running at full speed to ignite a digital disruption in the telecommunications industry.Reporting to the Head of Legal (but also with heavy direct interaction with the cofounders), the successful candidate will operate as the subject matter experts of all legal-related issues, from handling multi-country SaaS agreements, M&A/ due diligence, to Shareholder agreements/ Share Subscription agreements.Additional topics could include legal advisory related to development of new products, expansion into new markets, or areas of privacy, security, and compliance.This is a group-level role based in Singapore.Key Objectives

• Work with the Head of Legal to build and grow a global legal practice spread across Europe, MENA, SEA, North Asia and ANZ
• Act as the first legal point of contact for any legal related issues
• Draft and review complex legal documentation
• Liaise with external law firms to access geography or subject matter expertise
• Lead M&A, investments and related work from a legal standpoint
• Providing regulatory and legal advice associated with a broad range of statutory, cross-border, business development and/or people-related issues
• Deliver sound and clear practical advice that enables business partners/ stakeholders to achieve objectives while mitigating legal risk
• Proactively work to draft, review and revise internal policies and workflows to ensure that they are consistent with guidelines
• Advising on market entry into local markets which include setting up legal entities and managing license applications
• Advising on legal and regulatory risk associated with sales, marketing, public relations, and product development
• Working with external counsel and managing internal clients with respects to any dispute-related work that might arise

Job Requirements

• Passion for technology businesses and the latest developments in the space, either from an inhouse or law firm background
• At least 4-8 years\' post-qualification experience, preferably in the tech / digital space, or with the necessary corporate, M&A and/or financial services and/or public listing experience
• Knowledge and understanding of law and regulations applicable to TMT space would be a bonus
• Experience handling complex transactional work and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in navigating and excelling in highly ambiguous environments
• Willingness and flexibility to work with all levels of the organization, and to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
• Qualified to practice in at least one APAC country with the tenacity to learn new areas of law
• Prior experience in building up an in-house legal team from scratch will be preferred but not essential
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster / manage relationships across multiple departments
