The Essence of this Role We are looking for a Legal Counsel to support Affinidi's international business, product, strategy, and operations, being a supportive team player to a fast-moving, dynamic team across all departments. We are looking for a Legal Counsel with the following attributes:

• Business Acumen - You are in the know on current business practices/trends and have a good awareness of how a tech company creates, markets, and maintains products.
• Critical Thinking - You are able to skilfully conceptualise, apply, analyse and evaluate information gathered from observation, experience or communication and use it as a guide to action.
• Negotiation skills – You can skilfully negotiate for win-win conclusions and gain trust of parties involved.
• Presenting to others – You are effective in a variety of presentation settings, with different groups of audience and about different topics, even controversial ones. You can change presentation tactics midstream when something isn't working.
• Stakeholder Management – You are able to confidently communicate and work with leadership, cross-function teams, external partners and clients, and within the legal team.

What You'll Do You'll become knowledgeable about our technology, products and be involved in acquiring and building partnerships, communicating the vision of Affinidi as it changes and evolves. You will:

• Draft and review data protection policies, terms of use, data transfer agreements, service agreements, license agreements, API integration agreements, and other legal documentation required for tech services and products that are built on decentralized technology principles.
• Provide advice to stakeholders on variety of legal issues.
• Consider strategies on business lines, new products and services.
• Lead negotiations, working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business development, marketing, customer success, finance) and international partners to conceptualize business and legal concerns in new areas of law and tech.
• Review and update internal processes.

• Have exposure in tech or background in TMT, corporate law, M&A and privacy law (PDPA, GDPR)
• Able to identify risks, formulate practical solutions in areas where there may not be precedents
• Are passionate about working in a start-up environment and love to problem solve and come up with creative ideas to solve customer challenges.
• Possess a growth mindset with a strong bias for action and are able to proactively execute tasks and have a structured working style.
