We are seeking an experienced

Legal Counsel

to join our clients Singapore team. This role will provide strategic legal guidance and support across a wide range of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters, with a strong emphasis on managing legal risks inherent in large-scale, asset-heavy industries. Prior exposure to the

Hyperscale Data Center

sector, or related industries such as energy, infrastructure, or real estate, will be highly advantageous.


The Legal Counsel will work closely with senior management, business leaders, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage risks, and enable sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including construction, procurement, leasing, vendor, supply chain, and service contracts.

Regulatory & Compliance:

Advise on local and regional regulatory requirements, data protection, environmental, and safety regulations impacting large-scale infrastructure and data centers.

Corporate Governance:

Provide legal support on corporate secretarial matters, board governance, shareholder resolutions, and compliance with Singapore Companies Act.

M&A & Joint Ventures:

Support on transactions including acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships involving asset-heavy operations.

Dispute Resolution:

Manage disputes, litigation, arbitration, and liaise with external counsel when required.

Risk Management:

Proactively identify legal risks in infrastructure projects, cross-border transactions, financing structures, and advise on mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with project, finance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of legal requirements with business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

LL.B / J.D. degree from a recognized university; admission to practice law in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction. Minimum

10 years of post-qualification legal experience

, with at least 5 years in-house in an asset-heavy industry (infrastructure, utilities, construction, energy, or data centers). Proven experience in

Hyperscale Data Centers

or large-scale technology infrastructure highly preferred. Strong knowledge of

contract law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and project finance

. Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to handle complex, high-value agreements. Strong business acumen, able to balance legal risks with commercial objectives. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and engage with senior stakeholders. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative team player.
