Description
Our client is a Shipping/Maritime company, looking to hire a Lead Legal Counsel for their business. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation lawyer looking for a move in-house in a high-visibility role with ample autonomy.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be actively involved in drafting and negotiating a wide range of shipping and commercial agreements, lead and advice on corporate transactions, maintain compliance and also manage a junior staff.
Requirements
You should be a qualified lawyer, with at least 3 PQE. The ideal candidate has strong exposure in shipping/charterparty agreements but also a breadth of general corporate commercial experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Lawyer to transit into an in-house role, or for an in-house counsel keen to step up into a managerial role with high visibility.
