Legal Counsel, Shipping

Job Responsibilities Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for legal matters including handling ship design, construction and repair contracts, corporate and commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements etc. This is a rare opportunity for lawyers who wish to kickstart or grow their career with a strong player within the shipping industry with great visibility to senior regional stakeholders.
Qualifications You should hold a Bachelor of Law and be qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction, with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Relevant experience in shipping disputes or corporate commercial matters is preferred. You should be a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous individual with strong time management and problem-solving skills. You should have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with regional stakeholders and merchants from various cultures.
