We have backed and supported 100+ startups, including (Blockchain Gaming unicorn), (Edtech unicorn), (Future of Work unicorn), (Fintech centaur), and (Edtech centaur.)The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping AVVs legal framework. In this position, you will ensure smooth investment operations, and compliance, mitigate risks, and contribute directly to the growth of our portfolio companies and the firm.The ideal candidate is an accomplished legal professional with a strong track record in managing cross-border investments and fund legal matters, coupled with exceptional communication skills, craftsmanship, and learning agility.Key Responsibilities

• Investments (35%) - reviewing investment documents and supporting due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Funds (25%) - reviewing marketing and diligence materials, supporting legal negotiations, verifying information for regulatory filings
• Portfolio company matters (20%) - addressing routine matters including routine legal reviews and approvals and portfolio company-related transactions and compliance
• Compliance (10%) - developing & reviewing company compliance policies, advising management on possible risks, creating and managing effective action plans in response to compliance issues, ensuring all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
• Commercial agreements (10%) - independent drafting and/or reviewing of templated or third-party service or commercial agreements with key clients and vendors.

• You hold a law degree from a reputable university.
• You have at least 5 years of experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
• You possess prior experience managing or supporting private capital investments (venture capital, private equity) and/or private capital funds, which will be a significant advantage.
• You have outstanding English communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• You demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex priorities.
• You are passionate about early-stage tech and venture capital.
• You have bar admission in Singapore and/or the U.S.
