Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to join a growing and high potential venture capital firm founded by a group of industry veterans to support the Singapore office. As the inaugural Legal Counsel, you will support the firm in day-to-day legal matters relating to venture capital and private equity. You will provide sound legal advice to the senior management of the firm and work with external counsels on a day-to-day basis.

Our client focuses on three main sectors including logistics, e-commerce supporting infrastructure, consumption, FinTech & InsurTech.

Description

• Negotiate, structure, document and perform due diligence of a variety of venture capital investments
• Negotiate, structure and document a variety of transactions including fund formations and offering, fund management
• Day-to-day legal work relating to fund operations, contract drafting, reviewing, management of external lawyers

Profile

• Bachelor or Master of Laws (LL.B/LL.M) from a recognised university
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience from law firms dealing with private equity and/or venture capital
• Strong technical knowledge and transactional experience in private equity/venture capital
• Strong understanding of regional legislation and regulations relating to fund set-up
• Excellent communication skills and able to articulate legal concepts clearly
