Job Description

Legal Officer-Q.CQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Law, Political Science or Bachelor's degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
  • Preferably with at-least 1 Experienced Employees specializing in Law/Legal Services/Paralegal / Legal Assistant or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Very good human relations and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality; TEAM PLAYER
  • Highly energetic, analytical, organized, responsible, result-oriented and independent
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Labor Law/Philippine law and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficiency in both written and oral communication (including narrative text, news releases, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies with the guidance of the legal Lawyer.
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • With experience in drafting and filing pleadings, and attending hearings.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability/strategic thinking
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Investigate facts and backgrounds of cases / issues and exercise due process.
  • Organize, manage and file case documents are safeguard and kept confidential.
  • Reviews incident reports, Notices (Notice to Explain, Notice of Decision, Notice of Termination, Notice of Exoneration) prepared by the line
  • Prepares incident report, Notice to Explain, Notice of Decision/Termination for sensitive or high impact labor cases.
  • Monitors and maintains a database of cases and sanctions
  • Facilitates administrative hearings /mediation /admin proceedings and/or provide support.
  • Handling workplace investigations, conflicts disciplinary actions, termination procedures and labor relation concerns
  • Draft, revise, incident report, Notice to Explain, Notice of Decision/Termination for sensitive or high impact labor cases.
  • Review contracts/Service Agreements and other legal documents.
  • Support the HR Dept., management, operations, and other Dept. with any legal/labor-related issues
  • Monitors and maintains a database of cases and sanctions
  • Conducts roll out and program presentations of all LR-related programs, policies, and initiatives
  • Prepares and maintains LR metrics, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Stay current on legislation changes that affect the company, in general, and employees, in particular.
  • Guarantees that the Company complies with Philippine laws and guidelines
  • Coordinates with the company's legal counsel with regards to decision of the case, and other legal matters pertaining on labor
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary and/or appropriate.
