Legal Service Officers of the Singapore Legal Service are appointed by the Legal Service Commission. As a Deputy Public Prosecutor, you will play a critical role in upholding criminal justice in Singapore. You will exercise prosecutorial discretion in determining whether to prefer charges against accused persons, advise the Police, the Central Narcotics Bureau, the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau and other law enforcement agencies, and prosecute accused persons both at trial and on appeals. You will be part of a key institution in the criminal justice system, assisting to bring closure to victims of crime and their families, and protecting the public interest. You will be part of a family of highly motivated prosecutors who are passionate about their mission. We welcome applications with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience. Graduate-applicants would require a law degree fro (a) the NUS, the SMU or the SUSS; or (b) a Scheduled University in England, Australia, New Zealand or the USA and have passed the DipSing or the Part A of the Singapore Bar Examinations and be a \xe2\x80\x9cqualified person\xe2\x80\x9d as defined in the Legal Profession Act 1966/the Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules.
