Role Summary: Follow the established procedures and guidelines of the legal profession to provide timely and effective support to a legal team.

Responsibilities:
Contracts Management:

Manage the Legal Department\xe2\x80\x99s contracts, from contract preparation to execution and documentation; Organise and track open cases; Maintain legal library of standard templates; Manage complete record of executed contracts; and Perform related administrative functions.

Intellectual Property Management

Assist in the management of the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s intellectual property (\xe2\x80\x9cIP\xe2\x80\x9d) portfolio in various countries; Co-ordinate and manage local and international applications for registrations, monitor and track correspondence with external service providers as well as filing deadlines, manage opposition and/or enforcement proceedings; Perform general IP research; Prepare declarations and evidence for IP litigations; and Maintain the database of the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s IP.

Legal Support

Assist in performing basic legal research; Liaise, develop and maintain close working relationships with other functional members of the relevant business units, corporate functions and overseas offices to ensure observance of the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s internal standard operating protocols; Track and maintain legal expenses; and Perform special tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

A. A Diploma in Law & Management or a Diploma in Paralegal Studies, and knowledge of and experience with handling trademarks and patents will be highly valued;
B. A minimum 4 - 5 years of working experience in in-house legal department(s) or established law firm(s);
C. Good written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of communicating effectively at all levels to both legal and business professionals in English. A working knowledge of Chinese / Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu will be an added advantage;
D. Strong inter-personal skills, and be driven, motivated, resilient and able to work independently and under pressure;
E. Excellent organizational, time-management and follow-up skills with good attention to detail;
F. Integrity and be discreet and able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality;
G. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

5 days\xe2\x80\x99 work week. Location: Raffles Place
