An attractive Loan Closing, AVP job has just become available at a top-tier global banking institution based in Singapore. About the Loan Closing, AVP Role:
This role reports directly to the Head of Loan Operations, who is based in Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities:

• Close PAR LMA and LSTA loan trades
• Manage work flows via Clearpar/Markit/Loan IQ
• Set up and improve Secondary Loan Closing Processes
• Work alongside a team of loan closers in London and Singapore
• Draft Loan Trade settlement documentation \xe2\x80\x93 Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, Pricing Letters (amongst others) when not settling via Clearpar
• Review underlying credit documentation to ensure accurate assignment of debt
• Liaise with our business partners, counterparties and their legal counsel in a professional manner and take the lead role where required
• Be competent in all aspects of settlement and be aware of the nuances of transferring inventory under various governing laws
• Monitor/track/report all trades using appropriate workflow tools
• Identify and escalate issues to traders, in-house legal and compliance teams as well as management
• Proactively seek regular assurances that the FM Loan Operations is performing to an acceptable risk and control standard as per the defined Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Maintain strong lines of communication within the FMO teams through an effective communication process
• Act quickly when any risk and control weakness become apparent and escalate to function head at the first time
• Support the function head with appropriate governance metrics; ensure operational risks are retained within the appropriate risk tolerance

To succeed in this Loan Closing, AVP role, you will have a background in loan closing across LMA and LSTA markets. The successful candidate should also be equipped with working knowledge on Loan IQ. Having experiences with Murex would be an added advantage. The right candidate will also possess confident and clear communications to manage the traders and salespeople, especially during time-sensitive periods. Key Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in the finance field
• At least five years of relevant experience in loan Closing experience across LMA and LSTA markets
• Fully competent of closing trades using the ClearPar trade settlement platform
• Good understanding of the LMA Term and Conditions
• Understanding of common market practices
• Good understanding of the market and requirements across jurisdictions to settle trades
• Good working knowledge of Legal and Tax standards/practices that are commonplace in the Market, such as the understanding of (i) Novation vs Assignment (ii) WHT (iii) Transfer
• Knowledge in Lending products, settlement processes and Syndication processes
• Familiar with Loan Market Association and Asia Pacific Loan Market Association Standards
• Priority will be provided to candidates who are currently permanently based in Singapore
