Perform the task of expediting (inbound and outbound), drop shipments, freight auditing and customs compliance.
To ensure all shipments coming inbound and going outbound move as quickly as possible and are delivered within their schedule
Resolve any issues associated with delays on any inbound or outbound shipments
To ensure all shipments are proactively expedited through customs and are imported in accordance with customs compliance
Identifying service failures in a timely manner and processed for credit approval according to the carrier guidelines
When needed, move shipments as quickly as possible (next flight outs, hot shots, drop shipments, etc.)
To provide timely international and domestic quotes for any Smith & Associates or Consignment shipment at a minimum cost where service is not jeopardized
To proactively research missing freight and file claim if needed
Requirements:
Transportation industry experience is preferred.
Multi-tasking and organization skills a must
Strong communication skills and excellent follow through are a must
Forklift Certification or willing to complete
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel required
More experience will be consider as Senior or Supervisor or Manager
