• Manage 3rd party on-site logistics operators \xe2\x80\x93 warehousing, materials movement, and waste management (manpower, resources, overtime)
• Coordinate BLC loading and drumming with the Production Planner and external drumming contractor
• Resolve any issues that arise with the drumming contractor
• Manage allocation of BLCs for various product types and maintain the size of the BLC fleet to meet loading and drumming requirements; initiate short-term leases if required
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of the BLC fleet; schedule cleaning, repairs, inspection and modifications when necessary; obtain competitive quotes and verify invoices
• Manage plant logistics office
• Enforce company safety requirements and housekeeping standards on site logistics operations
• Support the Shipping Coordinator on operational aspects (customer sample preparation, loading & checklists, weighbridge operation, transport/courier coordination etc)
• Support the Asst. Materials Manager in the resolution of logistics-related customer complaints
• Ship products on time to customers of the Evonik Jurong Island facility in a safe and environmentally responsible way
• Manage ad hoc 3rd party logistics services (decanting etc)
• Manage used drum removal process
• Work in a team environment and interact with production, maintenance, research and other technical disciplines to resolve problems
• Participate in the management and development of the Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality (ESHQ) systems; represent Logistics in the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Committee

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and Logistics
• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management /Business
• Familiar with SAP and MS Office
• Energetic individual and good team player
• Strong passion for continuous improvement
• Experienced in forklift operation and is familiar with chemical handling
• Applicant must be willing to work in Jurong Island (company transport provided)
