Job Description


Responsibilities: Department Budget and Cost Management

  • Prepare, monitor and achieve the departmental budget through effective cost control by constant analysis of logistics costs and management plan for the year through strategic action plans and activities; and by periodical review to put in place enhancement actions for recovery purpose.
Operation Planning, Organizing and Internal Controls Review
  • Plan, organize, formulate and implement strategic action plans and activities to put in place enhancement actions for improved processes and internal controls aimed at increasing operating efficiency and minimization of inherent risks. This includes staff capability development & succession planning, supporting the system implementation/upgrade from time to time and to develop and implement Logistics best practices such as distribution optimization, inventory control etc
Oversee Warehousing & Physical Inventory Management
  • Monitor the physical management of inventory to ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s assets are stored securely and accounted for accurately in line with assets control guidelines and policies including compliance with audit requirements.
Internal & External Communications
  • Communicate, report and feedback to superior and/or senior management on the progress and results of all actions and activities as planned including analytical reports, research findings, issues & solutions reporting, improvement plans and counter measures. Communicate with 3PL management team, Transporters, Customs Broker & Forwarding Agent to ensure the services rendered relating to inbound & outbound processes are complied with. Communicate with other related teams, in particular Sales, Product & Demand Planning Teams, to ensure all related parties are well informed of ongoing jobs, tasks and pending issues and to follow up each pending item until it is completed/resolved. Communicate with and respond to relevant regional and headquarters teams regarding requests on surveys, data provision, process check, internal audit requirements etc
Manage the service provider (3PL and Forwarding Agent)
  • To monitor and review the 3PL and Forwarding Agent for all operation activities from the customs clearance at ports, receiving of goods from warehouse & inventory management, picking process, outbound delivery, system transaction and return goods management in order to fulfill customer\xe2\x80\x99s request and achieve KPI target. To review 3PL\xe2\x80\x99s service performance with reference to the agreed KPIs as stated in the Service Agreement
Policy & Procedures
  • To ensure Logistics practices are in compliance with respective regulations and to develop a local SOP as deemed necessary
Shipment Coordination
  • To coordinate all shipments to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely arrival at the warehouse. To claim the duty drawback for re-export sales within the customs rules and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent
  • Minimum 3~5 years in a team lead or managerial position
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good analytical thinking and report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing cost performance, supply & distribution execution across a variety of product lines
