Logistics Business Partner (Singapore based)

About the role We are looking for a Logistics Business Partner, to be based out of Singapore and be responsible for leading, coordinating ,and working across a host of stakeholders in understanding short (>1 month) medium and long term needs of the business and provide delivery solutions to meet the needs of today, and prepare for the needs of tomorrow.

• The incumbent will also serve as a first responder for all logistics needs of their assigned business units, understanding needs and converting these needs into actions, activities, and plans.
• The position will be benchmarked against these exciting deliverables with real impact to our business!
• Logistics 10 year plan and annual plan for their supported Business unit
• Regular reporting (Monthly scorecards, momentum) for their supported Business unit
• Create/improve and maintain logistics map including flows, capacity, constraints, costs, contracts for short and long term.
• S&OP activities
• Maintain risk registers and safety compliance requirements for their supported Business unit
• Regular (6-12) site visits per annum, depending upon needs of the business.

Reporting to the General Manager Commercial Logistics, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities

• Provide capacity, costs, options and tradeoffs for logistics with the S&OP ecosystem (Supply / Demand / Sign-Off processes)
• Working from the 10 Year planning to Annual Planning activities to define the logistics scope, capacity and solutions to maximise value for the business (Commercial / Customer / Operation)
• Partner with operations by being on the business unit senior leadership team \xe2\x80\x9cmeetings\xe2\x80\x9d as required by the business unit (e.g. Rio Tinto Boron)
• Educate business units on the logistics solutions and capacity and be an expert on the solutions currently in place for that units, including the options.
• Create a consistent set of expectations for the Business unit and Commercial teams we are serving, aligning across all business partners
• Triage short term requirements, including Business Resilience involvement, and create the right connections to the accountable people.
• Bring new and innovative solutions to improve delivery, costs, value generation, supply chain resilience and strategy
• Understand the issues and actions in the short/medium term and address where possible. Develop the scope of any remaining issues and needs and engage with other partners to develop solutions (Strategy and Sourcing, Execution etc.)
• Support projects and expansion activities for respective business units, including greenfields, brownfields, Mergers & Acquisition etc.
• Define appropriate KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for their supported business unit and use PDCA cycle to improve delivery

What you will bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 10 years of logistics &/or supply chain experience or related experiences
• Commercial acumen commensurate with role requirements
• Strong problem solving, strategic and analytical capability
• Demonstrate an open-minded genuine curiosity towards understanding the needs of business and the impact of applied solutions
• Proven stakeholder management experience
• Previous experience with multi-national companies
